Design, selection, sourcing and final installation of the furniture and fixtures.
The open kitchen and living areas were better defined by adding light fixtures over the peninsula, a visually light chandelier in the seating area, and a flush mount hallway light fixture. The choices were made to harmonize with each other while still keeping them distinctive.
A large rug serves as a neutral defining element for the living area, a chair placed at an angle adds seating and anchors the space while allowing a clear line of sight towards the TV. A media cabinet under the TV adds needed storage and visually balances the sofa and two side tables on the opposite wall. Table lamps add a third layer of light. Drapery treatments and a triptych work of art draw the eye upward creating a sense of a higher ceiling.
Working window treatments were layered to allow different levels of privacy and allow natural light in, the neutral choice of fabric serves as a backdrop to all the elements in the room.
Several mood boards were created to establish the stylistic direction and the color palette, a warm palette with golden touches was the preferred choice. All choices were made to give a visually uncluttered feeling while still defining each area.
