This residential unit, in a 1960s building, was expanded and remodeled after the acquisition of additional square footage from a neighboring unit. As required by the local Building Department, walls to be demolished were marked in yellow in the as-built drawings, and new project walls were marked red in the project drawings.

The clients requested a layout that could be formal, livable and timeless, this dictated the choice of finishing materials such as custom cut hardwood and marble floors, countertops, and vanities.

Traditional style built-in units and closets were custom made and harmonized with all new crown and base molding.

The European style kitchen, provided by SieMatic, with mostly panel concealed appliances, was selected to give continuity to the small irregular space. A few heirloom antiques were kept and integrated into the design.
